TPU itself has a certain resistance to abrasion and flexibility, which can also be longer-lasting than ordinary PVC when being dragged frequently, filtered in mines, drained in harsh ground conditions, etc. TPU also maintains good flexibility when the temperature drops.
Typical roll lengths are tens of metres to about 200m and there are products with much longer length in some cases. Custom length can be given to the layflat hoses for engineering projects according to actual pipeline length.
Layflat Hose can be used in some drainage or wastewater application, but the specific use of Layflat Hose depends on the particle size, content and abrasiveness of the media. For applications such as mining slurries or with more abrasive media, it should use TPU or other heavier structure products with more abrasion resistance.
